Sequence of work

Apart from filling up the holes and sanding down,there are two types of wood stains.
1}Pre-mixed which comes with a range of colours.It can be used immediately requiring
some dilution.

2}Self-mixed which is derived from mixing enamel paint diluted to the required
viscosity.This is the traditional method which is still widely used today.
It require a certain amount of knowledge of colour matching.

Preparation of stain colour.

  • The difference in stain colour can be hard to separate.
  • Take into consideration the natural colour of the wood when preparing the stain colour.
  • Try to obtain a shade that is as close as possible to the specifications thus avoiding numerous adjustments.
